Tawkr’s Hybrid Methodology

Combining Offline and Digital

Most content about acquisition marketing pits digital against face-to-face, as though brands had to choose one or the other. This is a false debate: the brands achieving the best results are those that treat field and digital activity as two links in the same chain, rather than as competing strategies. Yet this topic remains largely absent from content published about direct marketing — a blind spot this page aims to address.

Our Method

At Tawkr, the sale or donation is signed directly during the conversation with the Field Expert. This same field interaction is then supported by a confirmation call and structured data, and can provide valuable insights for the client’s digital campaigns. Here is how this hybrid methodology works in practice.

Why a Hybrid Approach Rather Than
a Single Channel

A field interaction and a digital advert do not serve the same purpose in a prospect’s journey.

Face-to-face excels at qualifying prospects, explaining the offer, building trust and closing the sale or donation on the spot. The agreement is always signed during the conversation with the Field Expert, never afterwards.

Digital, on the other hand, excels at maintaining a light, ongoing presence over time, without requiring another field visit.

Treating these two channels separately means losing the information collected through one rather than using it to strengthen the other.

A hybrid approach, by contrast, allows data and context to flow between the field, the confirmation call and the client’s digital channels.

The Tawkr Methodology
in Three Stages

The field interaction

qualifies, engages and converts.

01.

The door-to-door conversation, event or public activation remains the starting point: this is where a Field Expert explains the offer, responds to objections in real time, assesses the prospect’s genuine level of interest and obtains the consumer’s or donor’s signature. The sale or donation is therefore always signed during this conversation, never deferred.

What Field Activity Brings to Digital

Field activity gives digital marketing something advertising alone cannot provide: genuine qualitative context around objections, locations and the profiles that convert best.

Conversely,

digital channels can extend the relationship with customers or donors who have already signed up — through onboarding, retention and cross-selling — while also building awareness among neighbouring households that have not yet been visited, without requiring the immediate deployment of another Field Expert.

In practical terms, this means that a brand investing in door-to-door acquisition should not treat the data collected as disposable once the campaign is over.

The Role of the Confirmation Call

The consumer or donor always signs during the conversation with the Field Expert. The role of the CRCD confirmation call is therefore different:

Verify that the person has fully understood the offer they signed up for.

Verify that their consent was freely and knowingly given.

Confirm the terms of the commitment (amount, frequency and duration) before the application is fully validated.

This stage provides an additional guarantee of compliance and quality. It protects the customer from any misunderstanding and protects the brand against any sale that may have been misunderstood.
