"Women entrepreneurs don't get enough visibility": why Tawkr commits to Amazing Ladies
For the third consecutive year, Tawkr is on the jury of Amazing Ladies by La French Tech Lille : the programme that spots, boosts and celebrates women entrepreneurs in Tech and Innovation across the Hauts-de-France region.

This year, Alexandre Vassel, our Director of Group External Affairs and Strategic Partnerships, represents Tawkr. Before the pitch day on Wednesday 30 September, he answered 4 questions. Here's what he said.
Why join Amazing Ladies as a juror?
"I think women in entrepreneurship aren't given enough visibility. It's always seen through a male lens. And I think it's important to put women forward, because there are so many women who want to start businesses at any age."
For Alexandre, being on the Amazing Ladies jury isn't a posture : it's a conviction. That gender should have no bearing on how entrepreneurship is valued and made visible.
What makes a good entrepreneur in his view?
This is the question that produced the most candid and most interesting answer.
"I don't know if you can define a typical entrepreneur profile, a good or bad entrepreneur. I think all entrepreneurs deserve to be heard and deserve their place, because they're people who try things. And there's nothing better than trying things."
His position is clear: he rejects the very concept of a "bad entrepreneur." Because failure doesn't invalidate the attempt, it enriches it.
"It's too easy to say: that's a bad entrepreneur because they didn't succeed. So what? They learned, they grew. Next time, they might try something again and succeed."
What will he look for in the pitches?
"I'm going to look at the person's conviction and motivation. Because for me, there's no good or bad idea, it's a question of execution, of being convinced and being well surrounded."
"A good pitch is a person who has drive, who is committed to their project and believes in it. It's not necessarily about saying the right words. It's really a question of feeling and of how you relate to your project."
What advice would he give to candidates?
"Don't overthink it. Be yourself. Have fun. Enjoy it. Be there to show your drive."
And for those who feel nervous — which is normal, he says:
"I know it's always difficult. You're speaking in front of people, there's stress, tension, you want to do well. But enjoy the moment — because people aren't there to judge you, they're there to help you."
Conclusion
Three years. Three Amazing Ladies editions. And each time, the same conviction: women who start businesses deserve to be seen, heard and supported.
At Tawkr, we believe that participating in this kind of initiative is a concrete way of contributing to a more balanced entrepreneurial ecosystem. Not a posture. A commitment.
Good luck to all Amazing Ladies 2026 candidates.
